Why I love college

Food

The food here is pretty tasty. I enjoy eating all of the food on Forbes, however, when I don't feel like spending money, I will walk up to the Peaterson Event Center for some Burger King. Also, I enjoy eating at Einstein's Bagels in Benedum. It is a good place to grab some quick breakfast.

Friends

I enjoy being at college because it gives me a chance to meet new people. I enjoy connected with people and developing friendships. I feel like by struggling with other people around you make lasting connections and bond on deep level.

Freedom

Having freedom in college is something I am getting used to. I enjoy not having to ask my parents to do anything. I can go wherevere I want, whenever I want. This independence is very nice and it feels good to be able to make my own decisions without having to ask for permission from anyone.

Clubs and Activities

I enjoy all of the different clubs and activities that are at the University of Pittsburgh. I am involved in the National Society of Black Engineers, also I am a part of an intermural football team. These clubs allow me to get away from school for a little bit and relax. This is crucial to keeping your mental health because if you only do school you will go crazy.

Free Things

I did not realize how many free things I would get when I came to college. I love getting all of the free shirts and cups. Also the more free things that you get means the less you have to do laundry. Also there are several deals available for me being a a student at Pitt, such as 6 dollar meals at Qdoba with a free drink.

Learn something

After being in college for about 9 weeks I realize that I do enjoy learning things. colege is a place where you can learn a bunch of things that you never thought you would need. However I am excited to continue learning and discovering things about myself and engineering along my journey.

  2. I thought it would be hard to find my way around campus nut I was wrong. After a week or two I knew where most things were on campus.
  3. I have discovered that enineerng is very very hard.
