A Tribute to the Founding Director of African Studies

Please join us to pay tribute to the founding director of the African Studies Program Professor Joseph E.K. Adjaye who passed on in 2019. Professor Adjaye was instrumental in the founding of the African Studies Program at Pitt and served with distinction as its inaugural director from 2001 until his retirement in 2010.  

The event will honor his memory through the establishment of an endowed scholarship to help students study Africa.  Please join us in commemorating his life and legacy.  You will hear from family and colleagues.
