Pitt-Bradford Moves to Elevated Risk Posture 

In response to an increase in cases on campus, the University of Pittsburgh-Bradford campus will move to the Elevated Risk operational posture, effective Oct. 21.

The University’s team of medical experts, including the Healthcare Advisory Group and COVID-19 Medical Response Office (CMRO), assessed the situation in Bradford after confirming 14 new student cases and several probable student cases on campus since Oct. 15. The CMRO has started implementing mitigation, containment and testing strategies to help keep the Pitt-Bradford community safe and healthy.

In the Elevated Risk Posture, some activities are in person, but most are virtual. The University’s Resilience Framework has plans to address the movement of operational risk postures so students can continue their educational pathway uninterrupted.

Pitt's health rules remain the same through every risk posture on all campuses: Face coverings are required inside and out; physical distancing is necessary, with a minimum of six feet between people when possible; and wash your hands thoroughly and frequently.

The Pitt Johnstown campus remains in Elevated Risk Posture, and the Pittsburgh, Greensburg and Titusville campuses are in Guarded Risk Posture.
