Twenty virtual send-off events are happening today through the start of classes on Aug. 19. These informal, one-hour virtual events are designed for new students and parents to get their questions answered about the first days at Pitt’s campuses, but any member of the Pitt community can register.
There are two general sessions on Thursday, July 30, from 7 to 8 p.m. ET and Thursday, Aug. 6 from noon to 1 p.m. ET. Staff from Pitt’s Alumni Association, admissions and student affairs will be sharing encouragement and information during the events.
Five regional send-offs are happening, too, co-hosted by volunteers from regional Pitt Alumni Clubs. Incoming students can connect with their peers and network with alumni, who will be sharing their experiences as they engage with the Class of 2024.
