New Commuting and Parking Options Available for Fall

Car and vanpooling, same-day parking registration and select $5 daily parking are among the options for commuters on the Pittsburgh campus this fall.

Faculty, staff and students are encouraged to explore the University’s new Carpool and Vanpool Program when considering commuting options at the Pittsburgh campus. The expanded program now includes SUVs, minivans and traditional 12-passenger economy vans, providing greater convenience and savings, in partnership with CommuteInfo and Commute with Enterprise.

Parking

A new same-day reservation feature through ParkMobile is now available at select parking garages and lots, including Posvar Garage, McKee Place and OC lots. Use the app to confirm a space is available and hold one for use prior to arriving on campus. Same-day reservations are available beginning at 2 a.m.

Finally, $5 daily parking remains available at select locations, with rates subject to change based on lot demand and location.
