Black Lives in Focus Exhibit Will Celebrate Black Voices, Art on Campus

A University-wide outdoor exhibition will celebrate and amplify diverse Black voices and Black art. The Black Lives in Focus initiative is guided by the question, “What do we learn when Black life is in focus?” and will explore the richness and complexity of the Black experience in America through art selected from our Pitt and Southwestern Pennsylvania communities.

This multimedia exhibition—one of several Black Lives in Focus projects —will be set up on the lawn between Heinz Memorial Chapel and the Cathedral of Learning from Sept. 9-23 and is open to the public.
