From the athletic fields perched high on Pitt’s upper campus to the classrooms on the ground floor of the Cathedral of Learning, new spaces are welcoming the University of Pittsburgh community for the fall 2019 term.
On the regional campuses, Pitt-Greensburg’s McKenna Building was renovated to accommodate the campus’ growing Bachelor of Science in Nursing program and Pitt-Johnstown’s Chemical Engineering Building, dedicated in March, opened for the start of its first full academic year.
In addition, in June Pitt-Johnstown became the first Pennsylvania college or university to become a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, covered in full on UPJ's website.
Pictured in the slideshow above are just a few of the projects that have been underway this summer. For more about what’s new on the Pitt campus, see the University Times roundup of the most recent Facilities Management projects.
