This April, Pitt will engage in education and dialogue aimed at eradicating sexual violence and hold space for survivors as part of its Sexual Assault Awareness Month programming.
Students, faculty and staff are welcome to attend any event, though some content may be directed at specific members of the community. Find the entire list of events here, including these:
Sunday, April 3: Join students from Pitt, Carlow University and Carnegie Mellon University for the March Against Sexual Violence. The march, held from noon-2 p.m., will begin on Carlow University’s campus where students will make signs. Register now.
Tuesday, April 12: The Sexual Assault Awareness Month committee will host “Here to Help: A Resource Fair,” aimed at highlighting resources available to community members who have been impacted by sexual misconduct from noon-4 p.m. on the William Pitt Union Lawn near Bigelow Blvd.
Monday, April 18: “A Vigil in Honor of Survivors of Sexual Misconduct” will feature stories of healing, messages of hope and resources for Pitt community members impacted by sexual violence from 5-6:15 p.m. Felicia Savage Friedman will provide an inclusive and trauma informed keynote address.
