First Generation College Celebration Week starts Nov. 6

Starting Nov. 6, the Student Success Hub is holding Pitt’s inaugural First Generation College Celebration Week.

Part of the First at Pitt initiative, the Office of the Provost will host panels and social events to connect and support students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college. Faculty and staff who are not first-generation themselves but are committed to supporting first-gen students can become First at Pitt Advocates.

You can learn more about the initiative and how to get involved at office hours and Student Success Hub open house sessions throughout the week. The celebration will also feature a launch party for the First at Pitt initiative, a workshop on overcoming imposter syndrome and a service event. See the full calendar.
