The University of Pittsburgh Library System offers several newspaper databases so students, faculty and staff can access important recent and historical articles from major publications at no cost.
Pitt’s current holdings for major U.S. newspapers include the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, the Washington Post, the LA Times, Christian Science Monitor and the Chicago Tribune. Use the ULS guide to access stories through Factiva, ProQuest, Nexis Uni and other databases. Once logged in with your Pitt credentials, you can browse headlines by date, subject, region and author, or use the search tool to find a specific article.
You can also read up-to-date coverage from local publications, including the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review and New Pittsburgh Courier to name a few.
