The Pitt News won a Crown Award from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association

The Pitt News, the University of Pittsburgh's student newspaper, received a 2022 Crown Award for overall excellence from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association.

The newspaper and its website was honored in the college hybrid news category, along with ten other student organizations.

A total of 817 news, magazine, yearbook and digital publications were eligible, and awardees were selected in a head-to-head comparison based on excellence in design, photography, concept, coverage and writing.
