Charles Kotuby Jr. (A&S ’96, LAW ’01) rejoined the University of Pittsburgh School of Law as executive director for its Center for International Legal Education (CILE) on Sept. 1.

Kotuby comes to Pitt from a partner position at the Washington, D.C., office of Jones Day, where he spent 20 years as an international law counsel representing multinational corporations and sovereign states in complex international disputes.

The CILE aims to bring together American and international JD students to gain cross-cultural experience. The center also sponsors moot court competitions, facilitates the International Comparative Law Certificate program and helps students gain study abroad experience.

While an undergrad at Pitt, Kotuby played on the men’s soccer team.
