Henry Cantu, director of recruitment and admissions at the University of Pittsburgh’s School of Social Work, has been elected to the National Deans and Directors of Social Work Admissions (NDDSWA) Board of Directors for 2024-26. He will serve as program chair for the organization and work to provide professional development opportunities for social work admissions professionals.
Cantu also presented a session at the Council of Social Work Education’s Annual Program Meeting in Kansas City along with NDDSWA board members from Adelphi University, West Virginia University, University of Michigan and University of Houston on the influence of graduate enrollment management.
Cantu has extensive experience in student recruitment, admissions and enrollment at numerous institutions, most recently serving as the University of Connecticut School of Social Work’s director of student academic services. He has an MA in adult and higher education from the University of Texas at San Antonio and a BA in social work from Texas Tech University.
