Price

Jamelle Price has graduated from the Appalachian Leadership Institute (ALI), the Appalachian Regional Commission’s leadership and economic development program for public, private and nonprofit leaders.

Price was named an ALI fellow in October 2023. In the nine months prior to graduation, fellows traveled to six Appalachian communities to attend sessions, which included skill-building seminars, peer-to-peer learning, case study analysis and site visits to experience the commission’s investments in action. The curriculum is designed to equip fellows with the knowledge, ideas and network needed to create positive change in their communities and strengthen the region’s economic opportunity.

Price serves as associate director of learning and development in the Pitt’s Office of Engagement and Community Affairs. In this role, Price is tasked with training faculty, staff and students on how to engage with communities and assisting with programmatic efforts within the office. Price holds both a BA in social sciences and an MBA from Waynesburg University and an MS in integrated marketing communications from West Virginia University.
