School of Nursing Leads Pitt’s Graduate Programs in Latest U.S. News & World Report Rankings

Many of the University of Pittsburgh’s graduate programs are featured in the 2018 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s “Best Graduate Schools,” which will be available on newsstands April 11.

The School of Nursing’s Doctor of Nursing Practice program and Master of Science in Nursing program ranked 7th and tied for 8th, respectively, rising from previous rankings of 8th (tie) and 13th (tie).

The School of Information Sciences’ Master of Library and Information Science ranked 10th. The school tied for 1st in the health librarianship specialty.

Among medical schools, Pitt’s School of Medicine ranked 13th in the primary care category and tied for 15th in the research category — the latter up one slot from last year. Deans and senior faculty from around the country selected Pitt medical school’s programs as among the best in pediatrics (no. 8) and women’s health (tied at no. 6).
