An online guide for college-bound students, Colleges of Distinction recognizes student-centered schools traditional rankings may overlook. Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Johnstown underwent extensive interviews and in-depth research to vet their commitment to student engagement, teaching, community and outcomes.
Along with the general 2023-24 distinction, both campuses also earned the honor of being named exceptional career development colleges for preparing students to join the workforce and help them succeed after graduation. Additionally, both Pitt-Bradford and Pitt-Johnstown were recognized for their programs in business, education and nursing.
It is Pitt-Bradford’s ninth consecutive year as a College of Distinction, and it was also recognized as a top equity and inclusion college for providing support to underserved students and offering programs that include Africana studies, international affairs, and gender, sexuality and women’s studies.
Pitt-Johnstown was also recognized for its engineering program, which offers bachelor’s degrees in six areas.
