Check out Workforce Wednesdays at Pitt-Greensburg

This University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg’s Office of Career Services is launching Workforce Wednesdays this fall.

Employers and graduate school representatives will visit campus each Wednesday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and 4-6 p.m. to chat with students about job shadowing, internships, volunteering and careers. Tables will be set up in the Bobcat (Chambers Hall) near the Wagner Dining Hall to make it convenient for students to stop by during the lunch and dinner hours. No appointment is necessary.

Internship coordinator Kristen Stratton worked with the Career Services staff to make the events a reality. “Workforce Wednesdays are a way to engage employers and students all year long rather than just at job fairs,” she said.

“Workforce Wednesdays provides opportunities for students from all class years to interact with employers, allowing the students to expand their knowledge base about career requirements and giving them much needed practice in interacting with potential employers,” said Marcy Yonkey, assistant director of Career Services.
