The Office of the Provost invites proposals from Pitt faculty for projects to adapt, adopt or create Open Educational Resources (OER) to be used in an existing Pitt course. Proposals are due March 15.
OER are high-quality curricular materials such as textbooks, lab notebooks, videos, quizzes and other ancillary items that are freely accessible to faculty and students. OER are unique in that they grant copyright permissions for use and adaptation, free of charge. This means the content is available for other faculty and students to retain, reuse, revise, remix and redistribute.
Office hours will be held Feb. 21 and 22 for prospective applicant questions. For a selection of past projects that have received funding, view the OER Commons collections.
Awardees will be notified by the end of spring term. For more details and to apply, visit the application on InfoReady.
