Housing assignments for the 2022-23 academic year have been announced

The University of Pittsburgh will welcome students to campus next month for Pitt Arrival 2022, with more than 8,000 students moving into University housing Aug. 20-25.

In preparation, the University notified students of their housing assignments for the upcoming academic year through their Pitt email account today.

University housing encompasses more than 20 locations including Amos Hall, Bouquet Gardens, Brackenridge Hall, Bruce Hall, Forbes Hall, Forbes-Craig Apartments, Holland Hall, Irvis Hall, Litchfield Towers A-C, Lothrop Hall, McCormick Hall, Nordenberg Hall, Oakwood Apartments, Panther Hall, Ruskin Hall and Sutherland Hall.

Partner properties have previously been used to expand Pitt’s housing availability, supporting record enrollment levels and housing demand. This academic year, the University will partner with Carlow University — located less than a mile away from Pitt’s campus on Fifth Avenue — to provide additional student housing, selected based on the community partnership between the two universities, proximity to campus and resident amenities. Just over 100 first-year residents will fully occupy floors in Frances Warde and Dougherty Halls, with each double and triple room providing air conditioning, a microwave and refrigerator, twin-size beds, desks, dressers and more. Consistent with Pitt students who reside in University housing, students will have a complete Pitt experience including resident advisors and student life activities, in addition to onsite dining, laundry facilities and 24/7 security at building entrances.
