A multidisciplinary Pitt team has been awarded $60,000 from Pitt’s Momentum Grants program.
The team includes seven faculty members: Giuseppe Intini, Dobrawa Napierala and Juan Taboas from the School of Dental Medicine; Deborah Galson and Peter Alexander from the School of Medicine; Shilpa Sant from the School of Pharmacy; and Partha Roy from the Swanson School of Engineering.
The award will be used to advance the Pittsburgh Center for Interdisciplinary Bone and Mineral Research, a 73-member consortium of faculty members whose research interests converge around musculoskeletal disorders, bone injuries, osteoporosis, cancer and regenerative medicine.
