Four University of Pittsburgh students were honored with scholarships and awards at the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association Western Regional Meeting.

Pitt’s School of Pharmacy earned the 2024 Government Relations and Advocacy award, which students Anneliese Harp and Julia Lazzaris accepted for their leadership during the 2023-24 school year. This award recognizes exceptional efforts in legislative advocacy and advancing the pharmacy profession by encouraging students to engage with their state professional organization.

In addition, Anneliese Harp was awarded the Lindsay Heck Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is named after late Pitt pharmacy student Lindsay Heck, who passed away in December 2022. Fellow students Charlotte Nazar and Akshaya Sudhakar were awarded scholarships, as well.
