The Pitt-Bradford Staff Association has recognized Angela Wolfe, associate dean of student affairs, with its annual recognition award.

Wolfe has worked at Pitt-Bradford since 2015 and was nominated by Shannon Ridenour, who works with her in the Office of Student Affairs.

Ridenour praised Wolfe’s willingness to serve and ability in filling vacancies within her office to ensure the continuity of student services. Wolfe also serves as advisor to many student groups, including the National Society of Leadership and Success, Student Activities Council and the Food Advocacy Committee.

“She not only advises students but she advocates for them and, more importantly, she teaches them how to advocate for themselves,” Ridenour said. “She has a way of connecting with students by being authentic and compassionate.

“On campus and in her community, she is generous and giving. She cares about people and looks for opportunities to help those in need.”

Before she was appointed associate dean in 2021, she served as the director of leadership learning, service and advocacy and as the director of community engagement and the Harriett B. Wick Chapel. She also coordinated the Pitt-Bradford Academic Coaching and Tutoring Center.

She holds a Master of Science in community counseling from St. Bonaventure University and a Bachelor of Science in German and acting performance from Augustana College and Universität Passau.

She lives in Kane Borough with her husband, Stephen, and two sons.

Recent recipients of the staff recognition award include Bill Kline, director of computing, telecommunications and media services; Bret Butler, athletic director; and Rick Esch, president.
