Pitt earned its first Times Higher Education University Impact Ranking

The University of Pittsburgh has earned its first-ever Times Higher Education University Impact Ranking. Awardees are selected based on performance on 17 of the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The methodology integrates scores across multiple SDGs to reflect overall performance and impact.

Overall, Pitt ranked in the 401-600 category out of 1,963 institutions. Nationally, Pitt ranked 24th out of 46 universities considered. Pitt’s best performing categories were the SDGs focusing on gender equality, reduced inequalities, climate action and partnerships for the goals.
