Joining ROA
We welcome all officers of the seven uniformed services of the United States
- Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps, Coast Guard, Public Health Service, and
NOAA Commisioned Corps - to join ROA.
Any Officer or Retired Officer in any of the Reserve Components (including
National Guard) is eligible for Active Membership.
Any Officer or Retired Officer, other than those eligible for Active Membership,
or former Officers whose separation from the service occurred under honorable
circumstances is eligible for Associate Membership. This includes any current
and retired officer of the Regular Components of the services who has never
held a Reserve commission.
Note that all newly commissioned officers, including academy graduates, are
now initially receiving Reserve commissions and so are eligible for Active
Membership, and the first year of ROA membership is FREE for newly
commissioned officers.
Any member of a service academy, a Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC),
Officer Candidate School, or other program leading to a commission is eligible
for Officer Candidate Membership.

HOW TO APPLY FOR ROA MEMBERSHIP
- You can apply for ROA membership on-line by going to www.roa.org
and following the links to the on-line application form. The form will
prompt you for information necessary to determine your eligibility. You will
have to supply your credit card information to complete the application.
- You can apply for ROA membership by mail by completing the appropriate
application form. You can download the form from this website printable as
either an Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) file or as an MS Word 97 (.doc) file.

CURRENT ROA MEMBERS - Get a friend to join ROA - Talk to
your fellow officers and get them to sign-up. You can use the Application Form
that you can print from this website, so you never have to miss an opportunity
to get a new member. Get them to attend your Chapters meetings. ROA can provide
good companionship while you and your friends support our country's defense.
