COVID Practice Updates
September 2020
In response to social distancing guidelines related to COVID-19, the University of Pittsburgh Clinical Psychology Center will continue to operate on a remote basis until further notice. The clinic remains closed for all in-person appointments at this time. However, the clinic is now accepting new referrals for individual therapy for children and adults, utilizing video-based teletherapy platforms.
If you are interested in being considered for individual video-based teletherapy services, please leave a message on the clinic phone line at (412) 624-8822 indicating your interest in individual therapy serivces, your name, phone number, and the best days/times to reach you for a brief telephone interview. [Also note that the call back you receive may be identified as a 'blocked' or 'no caller ID' telephone number; thus, the ability to accept such calls will be necessary.]
Note that the clinic is not conducting cognitive testing at this time. As such, we will not be accepting new testing referals until further notice.
In case of an emergency, please contact the Re:Solve Crisis Network at 1-888-796-8226, or dial 911 in your local area. Non-emergency messages for clinicians can be left on the main clinic phone line at (412) 624-8822. Messages are checked regularly during remote clinic operating hours, including Mondays 9am-5pm, Tuesdays 9am-8pm, Wednesdays 9am-8pm, Thursdays 10am-8pm, and Fridays 9am-5pm. In your message, please be sure to leave your name, your clincian's name, your phone number, and best times to reach you.
The Center’s hours vary slightly from semester to semester.
During the spring semester 2021 we are open at the following times:

We are closed
on weekends, on some holidays, and during semester breaks.
In particular, we will be closed January 18th, between March 8th and March 14th, inclusive, and between April 30th and May 9th, inclusive.
During the times that we are closed, we do not have emergency
coverage available, nor are staff available to monitor either voice mail
or Email messages. In the case of an emergency, we ask that you contact
the Re:Solve Crisis Network, at 1.888.796.8226.
